Asking a favour...
Mar. 7th, 2007 08:00 pmBBC Radio Nottingham and the Nottingham Evening Post are offering a local band the chance to open a concert in Old Market Square on Saturday 31 March 2007.
My brother's band The Grave Architects has made the (long) list of local bands under consideration. Something like this is a great chance for any band to raise their profile.
The site where the votes are registered is: www.beat.co.uk/msvote.php
Now, naturally, I'd like people to vote for 'The Grave Architects' (in the 'T' section of their stupid alphabetisation). However, I'm equally happy if people want to go through the various links and listen to songs and find a band they want to vote for.
I genuinely believe that The Grave Architects acquit themselves fairly well. I'd probably like their stuff even if I wasn't related to one-third of their number (I just would never have heard of it 'cos I pay no attention to the indie music scene). I am also conscious that my tastes are not exactly 'mainstream' (or perhaps too mainstream) when compared to many of the people that I know, but there you go.
